Your Experience? Did it help you in your later years?
I remembered selling the chocolate turtle candies to raise enough money for the school uniforms. I can't remember if we kept them after graduating. I was in B orchestra and A orchestra. When I went from Emerson Jr. High I was playing the violin. Then at Redford I played the Viola. I think playing an instrument helped me round my life out.

Singing in the Red and Grey choirs, the mixed chorus, the men's chorus and 1st tenor in the quartet (the one pictured behind the microphone) helped instill a good work ethic within me. The breaks between numbers, standing on risers were filled with impromptu harmonies of "My Girl" but he Temptations... often more fun than our scheduled numbers. As a result of anticipating Gene Fenby as a task master I have a good ear listening to others and have blended my voice, my ideas, and my team spirit in a wide array of communities.
